Rule #2
规则二
THE BIBLE VIEWS THE WORLD AS HAVING A GOD THAT DOES MIRACLES
God is not just a distant, uninterested observer who does not care what happens in the world, but has sent his Son to the world to live here and to die for us.
Our method of interpreting the Bible is called: HISTORICAL-GRAMMATICAL
One wrong way of interpreting the Bible is called: HISTORICAL-CRITICAL. This method of interpreting the Bible denies part or all of the ‘supernatural’ in the Bible. Unfortunately, this is the most popular form of interpreting the Bible today. People who approach the Bible this way deny most or all of the miracles in the Bible, and deny also that the Bible was inspired by God.
The Bible shows us that God has always been active in the events on earth, and is still active here.
See: Psalm 46 ; Acts 13:17-41
The Bible tells us about many MIRACLES that God performed throughout history. Miracles are also a way that Jesus proved he was the Son of God.
See: Matthew 1:20-21 ; John 10:38 ; John 14:11 ; 1 Corinthians 15:14-19
INSPIRATION is the activity by which God gave us the Bible. Inspiration is a MIRACLE of God.
